History- VIKINGS LONG SHIPS  

Task: To research, synthesize (find out then put back together in your own words) and present information about the viking long ship.

You and your partner will create a google slideshow to share information with your class.

Instructions:
1) Sign in to gmail account and open google docs
2) Go to New and scroll down to slides (yellow icon)
3) Share this with your partner and me (reuben.potaka@gmail.com)

What is handy is that you can both be working on this at the same time.

Here are the inquiry questions that you and your partner should try to answer:
1) What sorts materials were they made out of?
2)How was the viking ship constructed? (materials, design, purpose etc) Include diagrams.
3) Were there different designs? What made them different? Who made these different designs?
4) How did the vikings navigate their ships when at sea?
5) Describe a notable viking long ship in history and include information about where and when it traveled, what was it's purpose, who was on board of note.

Your presentation should be between 3 and 5 minutes.
