Classification of Rocks

To add to your presentation in your groups:

1) Explain how you are catergorised (See below). Be sure to explain any new terminology.   

2) Give some examples of your friends, add pictures and describe their characteristics.

E.g Quartz

- Second most abundant mineral in the earths crust after feldspar
- Chemical formula of SiO2
- Made of silicon, oxygen, tetrahedra
- Comes in white, grey, purple, pink.
- Can be used for glass making.
