Today we revisited Lab Safety:

  

1)     Take a lab coat and put belongings to the side and collect safety goggles.

2)     Tie hair back

3)     No food/ drink.

4)     No running, be aware of others.

5)     Emergency shower and eyewash in far corner.

6)     Do not directly smell chemicals

7)     Make sure equipment is stable. Clean up any spills.

8)     Be safe when using Bunsen burner.

Also, the same rules apply in class including being respectful listeners and putting hands up to offer ideas to discussion.

Should students choose not to follow these instructions they will be warned and then be excluded from the lab based practical activities.
